Our group focused on controversies over the clean water act emerging from the Trump Administration.

Cody Cox focused on the moral and scientific arguments made by the groups who support and oppose Trump’s executive order to remove the Waters of the United States Rule from the Clean Water Act.

Amanda Najera offered a philosophical analysis of the Trump Administration’s executive order to undermine the Clean Water Act.

J Smith presented a deeper look into the legitimacy of the clean water rule in terms of cleanliness of drinking water for more Americans and the rules relation with property rights for business owners.

Blaine Talmadge analyzed the arguments on the repeal of the clean water rule from the National Resources Defense Council and the United States Chamber of Commerce.

Janell Hartwell discussed the policy addressing mercury poisoning in the Wabigoon River in Canada and how indigenous people are fighting for their rights to clean water.
